I have long thought that Greta is being used - saw it back in the 'how-dare-you' days. And I did feel pity for her. But at this point I'm with Mike Doherty. If we view her even in her 20's as having no ability to choose her information sources, or her path in life, we are denying that she has any moral agency.

And actually, I'm starting to wonder if she really has Asperger's syndrome. I have someone with AS in my family, and Greta's behavior contradicts what we are used to seeing.

People with Asperger's are not conformists as a rule. They refuse anything that doesn't seem consistent to them. They may be at a disadvantage in reading social cues, but they are very good at absorbing objective facts. I would say fact-finding and mentally cataloguing them is an obsession.

Knowing this, I was struck by Greta's un-Asperger behavior over the last few days.

When offered a sandwich by an IDF soldier, she reflexively smiled at him. Then when the photo of that went viral, she cried 'foul' and had a fit. Was it because it undermined her AS image? (My family member almost never smiles -- even when he's pleased and excited, he has no facial expression.)

While in Ashdod, she was shown the footage produced by her beloved liberation warriors, but she turned her head away and refused to watch. My AS relative would not have been able to resist seeing new information to add to his mental treasure chest.

AS people are also known to be blunt tell-all types, who can't gauge the social impact of what they say -- all they care about is "setting the record straight". But when Greta was interviewed in Paris, she chose to "not go into details" about her stay in Israel. That was possibly a calculated choice to hide information, because she foresaw that it would lead to awkward questions. And of course no one pressed her on it.

Which brings me to an interesting comment Douglas Murray made when talking about Greta's Gaza stunt to Sky News Australia today:

"I never was a fan of hers... She created a construct to make it impossible to oppose her.... You couldn't criticize her, or everyone said, 'Why are you beating up on the autistic girl-child?'..."

What if Greta herself is trying to manage our reality on her own terms? She's not as sophisticated as a psychopath would be, but social manipulators are legion on the earth.

Of course this is going to end badly for us all. We are all the minuscule water particles of a huge tsunami-like wave that is growing momentum: the waves crash inevitably on the beach, they can't be stopped mid-air. These historical processes that are borne from the huge psychological and ideological shifts in a society or culture are never reversible. They end when it's all over and all can be rebuilt, maybe, from scratch. Do you know of any back-pedalling or last-minute change of course in history? Greta is just another water particle caught in the wave...were the "zeitgeist" of this epoch different, she would be thouroughly ignored.

Yes. I know a great change of course in history. It happened when Greco-Roman civilization came in contact with the wandering Jews, who'd become a world Diaspora spilling on all sides out of the Persian Empire and into, among other places, the Mediterranean basin.

What happened here was that the ancient Jews--an ethical movement on the tradition of what I call Babylonian semitism--had a gigantic effect on the psychopathic Greco-Romans, who had the cruelest, most sadistic slave-States anywhere on Earth. And the impact of Jewish and then also Judeo-Christian thought on the ancient Greco-Romans was so tremendous that it tilted the West in the direction of ethical improvement. It has been a long road, full of great crimes, but the West did get better over the centuries, until it abolished slavery and founded modern democracy in revolution.

All of that happened because the Jews came in contact with the Greco-Romans.

It is false that the psychopaths have to win. That is not a law of nature. We can choose our destiny. But first, you have to believe in the future.

In order to get yourself there, I recommend knowing the past. Take a look at how the movement of semitism has been transforming our world for the better over the heroic time span of 4,300 years!

I agree, Jews brought something new and revolutionary, something unheard of in those times. Maybe that's why it spread and caught on so fast. But now we are talking about "restauration" of those values, once brand new. Restauration is always more difficult, because implies making new something that got old, giving back something that got lost. We know those values, but we don't appreciate them anymore. Only if we experience again war, suffering, hunger, despotism, violence etc. can we get to appreciate those judeo-christian values again. And when I say "we" I mean those who have forgotten that the normal state of things is not what we have in the West.

Can’t possibly agree with you on

this one Francisco, Greta is pure

Evil-born that way.

And I am tremendous admirer of

your work,

Waiting keenly for Part 5 of your

Macheavelian Trump. This middle

eastern, multi trillion dollar weapons technology gifting, slobbering, glorifying

and green lighting of nuclear/ICBM ramping up Persian Psychopath

who have not Israel alone, who he’s

On board with destroying of his own

Design. Like as you make clear was every other U.S. President

But what you don’t sharply emphasize is this could never happen if Israel had true sovereign patriotic Jewish Warrior ready leadership. They could years ago have

taken out, Iran and all genocidal enemies: reshaped and dominated the

whole Middle East. Expanded Israel from Nile to the Euphrates

using whatever weapons needed (It was

Jewish Nuclear Physicists alone who

Invented both Atomic and Hydrogen

thermonuclear bombs. Not anyone

else. The Germans weren’t even close.).

Yes all this possibility for the Jewish

people of Israel and the world. But

for, and it has been a giant But.

The appalling, exile mentality psychosis of the Jewish mind-beaten, bowed

humiliated and wholly Fear driven.

The current spineless jellyfish, emperors

clothes, bloviating, posturing Nothingness himself, Netanyahu, and if

possible worse: the ludicrous, delusional

Suicidal surrendering, fools paradise

buffoons surrounding him. Are the

horrific embodiment of the most

catastrophic “leadership” Israel

Could have.

With the real thing in power, wouldn’t have mattered for sixty years what

Psycho U.S. Bosses and their

“presidents” wanted.

Good analysis. I would like to see more writing on why sociopaths and psychopaths still exist in the modern world. Since primates govern by coalition, why are "cat people" so adept at rising to power in societies composed mainly of "dog people"? This suggest to me something dark about human nature that we'd rather pretend didn't exist, but it keeps coming back to haunt us.

Were Enid Blyton still alive I wonder if she would add a new edition to the extensive list of where Noddy goes to books. Famous titles such as 'Noddy Goes to School", Noddy Goes to the Fair', "Noddy Goes to Toyland", could now be updated to include "Noddy Goes to Gaza". Or better still, to be politically correct, she could introduce a girlfriend into lonely Noddy's life so that Noddy and Greta could both go to Gaza.

I can't imagine that said book would hasten any changes to the Quran but it may put the intrepid Greta's journey of discovery into its correct context.

Assume that I buy your argument. When does the sainted Greta take responsibility for her actions? She is, after all, 22 years old.

She has the social life of most child stars, who live in different worlds than the ones most of us inhabit. She is legally responsible for her behavior, but poorly prepared for a world very different than the one she was raised to understand.

I am okay with considering her responsible as an adult. But we must recognize, however, that she has been handled and manipulated since she was a child. I feel compassion for her, the same way I feel compassion for child actors who are manipulated and managed from an early age and, as adults, after all that abuse and confusion, become desperate drug addicts and social disasters.

The most important point, however, is not about Greta, but about her handlers. Clearly, they are psychopaths. Once this is understood, everything they tell us should be regarded with utmost suspicion, and that is a useful angle for those of us interested in convincing Westerners that they are being conned.
