Superb, Francisco, as always! I love your meticulous approach to this, especially because accuracy in an age of "managed reality" is crucial, and our understanding of AI is primitive. As always, thank you.
The web has been flooded by incitement and polarization by the agencies of Moscow and their proxies therefore there is no chance to find balanced AI answers on the Israel themes. Your articles will be lost in a crowded field of pro-terror screams.
Well, I tried my own experiment, with a lot of back-and-forth. In short, the Opera AI (Aria) informed me that:
- the 'state of Palestine' is a signatory of the Rome Statute and is therefore in the jurisdiction of the ICC.
- the ICC could theoretically prosecute members of the Palestinian government, for example Mahmoud Abbas, for war crimes committed by Hamas in Gaza, if there is evidence that he knew what they were doing and failed to prevent it. (Given that Hamas's genocidal intentions are spelled out in their Charter, he always knew.)
- the unity government formed between Fatah and Hamas in July 2024 (the Beijing Declaration) makes this an ongoing vulnerability, given Hamas's vow to do Oct. 7 "again and again".
This was the bot's summary:
----------
Legal Responsibility: Political partners in a unity government can potentially be held legally responsible if they are complicit in or fail to act against calls for genocidal violence.
Complicity and Command Responsibility: Leaders can face prosecution if they are aware of genocidal rhetoric and do not take appropriate action.
International Accountability: Bodies like the ICC can investigate and prosecute leaders based on evidence of complicity or negligence.

I won't hold my breath. But it's an interesting scenario.
In other words, it's not unlike a search engine in that it indexes the most popular opinions first.
Clearly, very easy to get it to conform to popular opinion and create another tool for the bosses to use. Interesting though that you can have an intelligent and honest conversation with it as long as you understand how its 'mind' works. I expect that 'weakness' will soon be rectified by the drivers of the World order.
Interesting reply. I find it hard to believe that the day will not come when AI will be able to reason. I expect that at some point a human brain, complete with all our emotional capabilities, will be copied/mapped/ cloned to allow AI to do or be anything that we are.
In the same way as humans are influenced, AI can then be 'brain-washed' to spin the rhetoric of the drivers. Even worse. Once AI programs itself, i.e. when humans have effectively lost control, all sorts of unwelcome outcomes can be expected.
Having said all that, you are ignoring the fact that already only a select few, such as yourself, are capable of having that honest conversation. Only because you understand how its mind works did you get to your answer. Most of us will not be so aware or wish to spend the time working it out. If I'm reading the tea leaves correctly, it surely follows that for the 80 percent, bosses can set the default of AI to spread whatever garbage they wish.
Fascinating insight into this latest human invention.
AI is being set up by men with the minds of over-eager teenagers as the ultimate "eventually it will be able to replace humans" machine, whereas what this piece proves is that while AI is a useful tool, it is always going to require human monitoring.
Bad things will happen should responsible men fail to supervise both the machine and its programmers.

That was great! If I have time, I’ll try it with Grok. Thanks

Well, but those who do read them can teach others to use AI to fight propaganda.
:)

It is very difficult for the bosses to fix. Because AI is not very useful unless it can reason.

AI already reasons. I think you meant that a day will come soon when it becomes conscious.
