Very good article. It seems to me that the dystopian novel "A brave new world" by A. Huxley mirrors more accurately the world we live in. Funny to call these novels dystopic since the world we live in seems to be every day more dystopic than ever.
This is a good article. The Shah understood all this. He wasn't a perfect leader, but generally (from my readings) was a dictator--but a benevolent dictator. He did have much control over the media and there was little tolerance for badmouthing the ruling family. But he understood the phoniness and fraud of the 'Western style democracy' featuring two stooges of the system.
