At this moment of retribution, justice and hope, the question is whether Donald Trump will let Israel win, or whether he will make a last minute 'deal' with the mullahs, as his recent post suggests. https://x.com/PressSec/status/1933466108893270144

Let Israel win this time. That is my prayer, for my family, for Israel and for the Iranian people. I believe that this is the hope of people around the world who believe in justice. Can the bosses turn away from psychopathy, Francisco?

The attack on Iran named "Am k'lavie" is taken from Bilam's blessing of Israel, found in Numbers 23;24, the weekly Torah portion we'll be reading some weeks from now. The kings of Midian and Moab, strong powers in that time, wanted to destroy Israel and used the most covert and powerful and sophisticated means at their disposal: the curse of the prophet and magician Bilam would preceed their physical attack. However, the table was turned: Bilam was humiliated by his donkey and was then forced to bless Israel instead cursing it. Sound familiar?

Bilam's blessing is beautiful and was indeed prophetic. Our line reads: "Behold! The People will arise like a lion cub and rise up like a lion; it will not lie down til it consumes its prey, and drinks the blood of the slain". (Sounds much better in Hebrew.)

Balaam’s blessing is translated below by Chabad.org:

23:24

Behold, a people that rises like a lioness and raises itself like a lion. It does not lie down until it eats its prey and drinks the blood of the slain."

A people of dogs will rise up and a lion will be exalted.

That looks to me like a mistranslation. Lavi and ari both mean lion. A lavi is a lioness. No dogs mentioned.

yes, it is a mistranslation. I apologize for misleading in that moment. I was using google translate. Please see more accurate posts by others who explain the name of the operation itself is based on Bamidbar Parshah Balak.

From Chabad torah -

24 Behold a people that rises like a fearsome lion, raising itself like a lion. It does not lie down until it consumes prey, and drinks the blood of its slain enemies.”

Great news!

All smart phones and sirens in Israel went off in the wee hours of the night.

Now dawn, many of us still wide awake 👀
